Question:
Bangkok, Chiang Mai & Khao Lak: Private drivers?
?

Hi,
I searched in the internet for the service of a private driver for a 1-days-trip in the area of Chiang Mai and Khao Lak. I got an offer for 4700 THB excl. gasline per day. Which seems still for me too much and too expensive!! Do you know any private drivers to contact, who are safe drivers, very trustworthy and have a nice ideas to visit during the trip away from all the tourist sight seeings?
Thank you!

Anything you find on the internet is going to cost a lot more than if you wait until you arrive in these cities and then look. I would recommend you ask at your hotel or a travel agent. I am sure you will find one a lot cheaper than 4,700 baht.

Are you looking for transportation or looking for a tour? Chiang Mai and Khao Lak are on the opposite ends of Thailand. Do you mean you want a different driver in all three areas if you include Bangkok?

If you just want a simple tour from Bangkok, Chiang Mai or the Phuket area just visit the nearest travel agency near your hotel. Your hotel may also have a tour desk available. You will be on a van with 8 or 9 other tourists. Safety in numbers! These tour companies pick you up at your hotel, do the tour, bring you back. Then you walk away and save 75% of what you would pay for just you and a driver all alone, all day long!

Local travel agencies can provide a private driver and vehicle. You will be getting this driver from a "brick and mortar" office not some web office. If you have a problem at least you have a place to start at. How much would you pay for a private vehicle and driver all day long giving private tours in your country?

Use this travel forum for some specific information on drivers. Keep in mind that you are talking about 3 different areas with three different drivers and vehicles.

Hi

You can ask the concierge at your hotel for a driver some hotels have a list of drivers Or ask a taxi driver what he would charge for the day I went by limo from Bangkok to Pataya a few years ago including driver from 9am to 9pm it was not that expensive

Depends on the distance you want to cover and as mentioned the driver has to come to your hotel and get back home take the car back etc so the price will include all that

I think the price a taxi driver in Bangkok pays to rent a taxi all day was 2000bht that was awhile ago so on top of that he needs a days salary plus petrol & tolls so 4700 is not that much

No. That is already a cheap offer. Any reasonable price for what you require is over Bt. 5000/day.

I hear this kind of question quite often. A Private Meet & Greet on the airport costs usually well over Bt. 1000. That seems outrageous, until you understand that someone actually has to drive a car to the airport, spent a few hours waiting, then drive you to your hotel. That car cost money, the driver/greeter earns a a wage, and that adds up.

You can try to find a cheap trustworthy and save driver on the Internet. But for the price you are willing to pay you probably get at best two out of three...

In Chiang Mai, you can hire a car with a driver for only about 2000 Baht a day, exclusive of the gasoline. Whether for business or for pleasure, they know the place better. Very polite and

very honest people. They can meet you at the airport and be at your service all the time you need them. If interested, we can give their names and address!

i do not comprehend that's the most inexpensive thai airways yet I took Thai airways from BKK to Chiang Mai. Their amenities were warmth and great. in case you do not concepts to pay slightly extra, i really recommend you're taking Thai airways, it really is likewise safer because it really is a larger airplane and the inner furbish changed into great. If not, you could employ the close by bus or coach motive force to force you up there yet i imagine the cost is as extremely extreme priced and the time taken will be a lot longer than taking a airplane. it really is purely about as good as spending a lot money yet not taking a airplane and with this manner of lengthy travelling time.
