Hello friends,
My family and I are planning to stay at either one of these resorts, but it's very hard to find reviews on them, except for their business websites.

http://www.eastsearesort.net - North Pattaya, cottage-style
http://www.saritachalet.com - Jomtien, mid-rise

Either they're too new for e-reviews... or there's something fishy... If anybody has stayed in either of these resorts, please let me know your thoughts on the resort!

I live a few minutes away from the East Coast Resort and although I have never been in it, pass by it in the car nearly every day. The location is great. The resort is located in a quite road about 2 min from the main naklua road, north Pattaya. There are lots of restaurants close by including the Woodlands hotel has a great coffee shop / bakery. You are less than 5 mins from Naklua beach and maybe 10min walking from the start of Pattaya beach. The resort itself will be quiet but close to lots of other things going on.

Jontien also has a nice beach and the saritachalet will be pretty much next to the beach. Jontien beach road can get pretty busy especially at weekends and the beach itself can be pretty hectic with food vendors. Personally I prefer North Pattaya and Naklua area.

Tiffany's Show is walking distance from the East Sea Resort (maybe 10mins or less) whereas Jointien is maybe 20mins by Baht Bus.

Mini Siam is not close to either of the resorts but accessible by Baht Bus (negotiate the price first!).

Sri racha is the next town up the coast towards Chonburi and Bangkok and bus or private car would be your best bet.

One thing to note is that Pattaya does NOT have public taxis. The only common transportation is Baht Bus or motercycle taxi. You can hire a private car with driver but this is expensive. There is also a tourist bus service that does a circle trip.

Enjoy your stay in Pattaya,

If you plan to stay the east part of Thailand, there are four provinces in the east as Chonburi (Pattaya), Rayong (Koh Samet), Chantaburi, and Trat (Koh Chang) province. Use the site below which give you all information you need. Select the province or place you want to see in there on the left . You will love it.

Jomtien is the quieter part of the place, not in the usually crowded North Pattaya. Sanita I believe is new, so might be worth considering especially they have special promotion rates now.
